This project first announced by honorable prime minister of india SRI NARENDRA DAMODAR DAS MODI as on that day chief minister gujarat on 7 oct 2013

A Society formed for the statue SARDAR VALLABHAI PATEL RASHTRIYA EKTA TRUST (SVPRET)under the chair man ship chief minister gujarat
MARATHON RUN started for supporting statue RUN FOR UNITY  held on dec 15 2013 surat to vadodara

this project beginning 31 oct 2013  138 birth anniversary of patel

Specification of statue of unity

• Sculpture of the statue padma bhushan RAM V SUTAR
• The height of the statue 182 meter or 597 feet It 's tallest statue in the world

Iron collected by the former using instrument of their forming ,from all corner of the country approximately 169000 village donated the iron for statue

• If wind blow at 180 km speed per hour speed,There is no effect to statue
• If earthquake occurred 6.5 richter scale no effect to statue
• It was constructed such that it has no effect up to 100 year estimated flood

1. Zone one  it will contain a memorial garden and large museum
2. Zone two extend up thai at 149 meters 
3. Zone three goes up living  gallery 153 meter chest level 
4. Zone fourth comprise the maintenance
5. Zone fifth head and shoulder

• The viewing gallery 200 people at time will have view of satpura vindhya mountain ranges

The ministry of home affiers has given approval for deployment of (CISFcentral industrial security force)personal at the statue of unity at kevadia in gujarath the deployement will be done from 25 agust 2020 with the strength of 272 personnel in the first phase 

It is expected that visitor will be  allowed september 2 the govt had stopped the entr of visitors in view of covid  19 pandamic a few month ago    ( these sourse from hindustan times)

KALABURAGI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a direct train between the Statue of Unity (Kevadiya) and Chennai on Sunday. Though this train will pass through Kalaburagi, a divisional headquarter of the state and considered the capital of Kalyan Karnataka (KK), there will be no stoppage here, much to the disappointment of those who wish to travel to Gujarat(sourcepaper)
